These policies apply to everyone who books or parks at Balfour Parking, 3575 Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Montréal, Québec. By making a booking, you agree to them. Please read them before you book.
1. Payments and refunds
- All payments are final and non-refundable.
- This includes leaving early, arriving late, not using your booking, or not showing up at all.
- The only exception is described in section 10 (emergencies and changes made by management).
2. Your booking time
- Your booking is valid only for the time window you reserved. All times are Eastern (Montréal) time.
- You may enter at or after your start time and must leave by your end time.
- If you stay past your end time, you may be charged for the extra time at our hourly rate, or your vehicle may be towed at the owner's expense.
- Need more time? Make a new booking before your current one ends (subject to availability).
3. Your vehicle and confirmation
- One vehicle per booking.
- The licence plate of the parked vehicle must match the plate on your booking.
- Keep your confirmation code and show it to staff when asked.
- Bookings cannot be transferred to a different vehicle unless management approves.
4. Vehicle size
- Spots are for standard passenger vehicles (cars, SUVs, minivans and pickup trucks that fit within one marked spot).
- Oversized vehicles, trailers, RVs, buses and commercial vehicles are not allowed without written approval from management in advance.
- Your vehicle must fit inside the lines of one spot.
5. What is not allowed
- Sleeping or living in a vehicle overnight, unless your booking covers that time.
- Leaving your engine idling.
- Vehicle repairs or maintenance (except a flat tire or battery boost needed to leave).
- Parking a vehicle that leaks oil, fuel or other fluids.
- Storing or carrying hazardous, flammable or illegal materials.
- Littering or leaving items, garbage or belongings in the lot.
6. Towing
- Vehicles that are unauthorized, unpaid, overstaying, parked outside a marked spot, or breaking these policies may be towed at the owner's expense and risk, without further notice.
- Towing and storage fees are set by the towing company and must be paid by the vehicle owner.
7. Signs, staff and speed
- Follow all posted signs and directions from staff.
- Drive slowly and obey the posted speed limit. Watch for pedestrians.
- Park only in marked spots and do not block lanes, entrances, exits or other vehicles.
8. Park at your own risk
- You park at your own risk. Balfour Parking is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to any vehicle or to anything inside it, including damage caused by other drivers, weather or third parties.
- Always lock your vehicle and remove valuables, or keep them out of sight.
- Booking a spot rents parking space only; it does not create a storage or safekeeping arrangement.
9. Damage to the property
- The driver is responsible for any damage they cause to the lot, structures, equipment, signs or other vehicles, and for the cost of repair or clean-up (for example, from fluid leaks).
- Please report any accident or damage to staff right away.
10. Emergencies and changes by management
- In an emergency, or for safety, maintenance or legal reasons, management may cancel your booking or move you to a different spot.
- This is the only case in which a full or partial refund may be offered, at management's discretion.
11. Privacy
- We collect your name, email, phone number and licence plate only to manage your booking, contact you about it, and enforce these policies.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
- We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers needed to run bookings and payments, or when required by law.
12. Changes to these policies
We may update these policies from time to time. The version shown here, with its "last updated" date, applies to new bookings. The policies in effect when you booked apply to that booking.
13. Governing law
These policies are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
